Cancellation insurance in the UKO resort
Our guests can take advantage of our framework contract No. 50 945239 56 concluded with Kooperativa pojistovna, a.s., which offers insurance in case of cancellation of participation in the stay (cancellation insurance) or non-use of travel services. In addition to cancellation insurance, this contract also includes accident insurance, baggage insurance and liability insurance. The insurance is conceived in 2 variants of insurance amounts.
Clients from 0 to 70 years old can be insured.

Procedure for arranging cancellation insurance
- We recommend arranging cancellation insurance on the day of your booking.
- Calculation of the premium: number of days (not nights!) x number of people (adults or children) x daily rate
E.g. stay 20.8.-27.8.2011, amount per stay: 2 x 4130,- (2 adults) + 2 x 2891,- (2 children 6-12 years) = 14.042,- CZK, deposit will be 7.021,- CZK
I can fit into the amounts 10.000,- / 5.000,- CZK, so I choose option 1A
calculation of the premium: 8 days x (2 x 22,- + 2 x 12,-) = 544,- CZKThe agreed maximum insurance amounts in each variant apply per person (i.e. if the family pays a total of 14.042,- CZK for the whole stay and the deposit is 7.021,- CZK for 4 persons, the limit of 5.000,- CZK per person as the maximum insurance amount is quite sufficient) - The administration is handled by us, the guest only has to report to us which option he/she has chosen. The advantage for the guest is that they do not have to spend time on additional administration related to travelling to the insurance company.
- The guest will pay the insurance premium to our account together with the advance payment (or at the latest within 3 days after sending the advance payment).
- The insurance event (when something happens) is reported to us at the guesthouse.
- For each claim, the guest must provide the relevant documents that will need to be submitted to the insurance company to settle the claim (doctor’s certificate of illness, hospitalization, …).
- The insurance company will not accept cancellations for the following reasons: bad weather, I didn’t feel like it, my husband had to work, our car broke down, etc.
- The insurance company will pay you (as a guest) after the insurance claim has been settled the deposit paid, up to a maximum of 80% of the payment made by you. In max. insured amounts of 5.000,- or 10.000,- CZK according to the variant and scope of insurance chosen by you.
Accident insurance
As part of the cancellation insurance that we have negotiated for our clients, the guest’s accident insurance is inserted for the duration of the stay and travel to the stay. This means that if a guest breaks his/her arm on our premises during their stay, it is possible to claim compensation from this accident insurance policy. Regardless of whether the guest has other accident insurance.
In addition, we can mention at random some of the inconveniences that we have encountered in the past and which unfortunately cannot be completely avoided: sprained ankle on the trampoline, abrasions from careless walking on the paths, injuries related to cycling and hiking outside the guesthouse, injuries when visiting other facilities during the stay, injuries caused on the slopes …
Liability insurance
Cancellation insurance, which we have negotiated for our clients, also includes liability insurance. This means that if a guest’s children break a window, the claim is covered by this insurance, regardless of whether the guest has other liability insurance. If a guest damages e.g. the room equipment by improper handling, this insurance claim can also be covered by this insurance.
Liability is of course covered for the entire duration of the stay and is not limited to the guesthouse premises; if it happens that a guest, for example, drops bottles in a supermarket, it is possible to settle the insurance claim from his cancellation insurance, thanks to the insurance policy we have concluded with Kooperativa pojistovna, a.s. on behalf of the guesthouse.
